A quick word on the state of Übercaster

I’m still working with Apple’s developer support on a solution of the current stability problems of Übercaster on Snow Leopard. After incorporating some code changes, I sent several beta builds to users for testing. Unfortunately, the results weren’t good (in some cases, the “fixed” code was even more unstable).
The main problem is still, that I’m not able to reproduce the problems on my computers. All I have to work with are the (crash) reports from users. The last response from Apple’s support was a request for sample code, reproducing the crashes. Of course, I already sent in source code pieces I was able to pin point by analyzing e crash reports. But since I’m not able to reproduce the crashes it’s more or less impossible to write a “working” crash sample.
Right now, I try to organize a meeting with the support engineer from Apple at WWDC in San Francisco next week. Maybe we can find the problem together…

Problem still persists with 10.6.4, I’m afraid.

Would it be possible to get a news update for August on this situation?

    Many thanks.

So… how’s it going? Any luck with the code? As Paul said three weeks ago, “seems pretty quiet around here.”

Hey, could you do your users a solid and at least let them if Ubercaster is officially dead or not? I’d assume so but it would be nice to officially move on.

I thought you might like to know, that the OSX 10.6.6 update has made Ubercaster 1.6.2 beta 2 actually work on my machine.

While it still doesn’t operate with the SoundSoap and AUPeakLimiter plugins, the rest of the program now seems to function on Ubercaster 1.6.2 beta 2!

Of course for 1.6.2 read, 1.6.5…

Ubercaster doesn’t open in OS X Lion. Sadly this probably marks the end of my favorite program.
