How can I add graphics to a course?
→ If you're a club member or greenfee guest
Since normally the map images are protected by copyright of the golf club, we need a signed permission from the images' copyright holder in order to use the images in Birdie.
A template for the permission can be downloaded as PDF from this page (see link below).
Very likely golf clubs don't know that they can add these graphics for free. So you might talk to the club's management and point them to this page. Usually it's much more effective when a club member or greenfee guest asks for this personally instead of sending an eMail.

In addition to display a golf course's basic data (like scorecards, address, phone numbers etc.), Birdie also provides a way to integrate the club's logo artwork and map graphics for each hole.
The addition of these graphical data not only makes your club much more attractive for your club members and greenfee guests, it also automatically enhances functionality in Birdie: On courses providing map graphics, Birdie automatically enables it's range finder feature. With the rage finder feature a player can measure not only the distance from the current ball position to the center of the green, but also any other distance on the course (e.g. length of a bunker etc.). The range finder works without GPS!

If course maps are published on the club's homepage, there's a good chance I could take the graphics directly from there. In this case, just send us the permission and a link to the graphics on your homepage.
